the research instruments have high Cronbach’s alpha value.
The first instrument, Three-Factor Eating Questionnaire (TFEQ-R18) are within ?=.80
for cognitive restraint, ?=.87 for
uncontrolled eating, and ?=.92 for
emotional eating. The higher value of Cronbach’s alpha indicate that the
instruments are reliable and the results produced are significant. According to
Salkind (2014), reliability and validity can be considered as a first line
defense against incorrect assumption or conclusion. Thus, with the instruments
that have been used in this research it can be considered that the reliability
and credibility are relatively high, the results produced are reliable.
Limitation of Current
The limitation of
this study is that population in this study. The sample size in this study
covering 150 of respondents that can influence the result in study. Besides,
the respondents in this study also have one faculty of the students that is
degree in psychology and diploma in counselling. The researcher need to find
more other courses students to join the research because result will come more
In addition, the population honest
and bias in doing the questionnaire. The participant in study most of them from
Chinese culture. Besides, when
the participant doing this questionnaire is beside her/his friends. Therefore,
some of the participant will become no honest in fill the questionnaire because
information need to fill in might be touch in confidentially.
following recommendations are offered as possible ways to improve this study is
focus on other variable in research. Since, other variable can help the study
become more understand and specific because human can influence in many
difference way such environment, genetic or social, family. All the factor can
be add into the study to understand the participant background.
