was assigned to research the Silurian period for
this assignment. The Silurian

Era time is part of the third period in the Paleozoic Era. Previous Geologic period was the
Ordovician period which lasted for 45 million years. Following the Silurian period came the Devonian which occurred
419-358 million years. During this
period pants and animals started to show in land. The climate was one of the most important things during
the Silurian period because it caused multiple occasions like making glaciers
melt and merging animals into land. There were also
some changers in level of continents during this period.
Silurian period climate was warm and moderate. Temperature
was most likely to be at 80 or 90 degrees. The first portion of the Silurian era earth’s continents were covered by glaciers. Climate is important during
all periods because it causes different of
natural disasters or even more at times. Because
of the climate there was occurrence of large melting
glacial formations. With the climate conditions Gondwana drifted into the far
There were geological events that occurred during the Silurian Period. Continental elevations weren’t as
dramatic as they are now, but sea level was an important geological
event. In this period the Panthalassic Ocean covered the nothern polar regions. Because of the expanding of seas coral
reefs and signs of life began to seize. Fishes,
plants, and animals were the things that brought life into the Silurian era.
Reefs developed and formed a modern ecosystem for the marine
life. With all
the movement of glaciers there’s evidence of volcanic rocks and sedimentary.
The position of the continents
during this period were low because the sea levels were rising. During the Silurian
era, our region was a smaller continent of Laurentia. Laurantia was straddled in the equator. North America wasn’t located where
it is now because of the different climate change that affected the movement of
glaciers. ADD MORE
era brought a lot of life into earth. Fish became popular, but not only that. A similar reptile like
the alligator was discovered.
It was known as Erypos and was the earlies land-walking reptile.
