Brief Description of Venue and Facilities

The management of Sands Expo and Convention Centre is proposing to Koelnmesse to host the 10th International Dental Exhibition and Meeting at Sands Expo and Convention Centre on 13th to 15th April 2018.

Sands Expo and Convention Centre is Singapore’s newest, largest, and most flexible conference and meeting venue is in the heart of the Central Business District and is nothing short of spectacular. It is an award-winning event venue and the perfect setting for high-profile MICE events such as regional and international conventions, trade shows and exhibitions. Sands Expo and Convention Centre is located at 10 Bayfront Venue, Singapore 018956.

There are also a wide range of facilities such as having free WIFI whereby up to 40,000 participants can connect at a given time, various ATMs from different banks located all over Sands Expo and Convention Centre and 3 available carparks for parking.

Sands Expo and Convention Centre is the first green venue in Southeast Asia to attain ISO 20121 certification for event sustainability management. The integrated resort is also the first facility in Singapore to adopt the Singapore Tourism Board’s new sustainability guidelines for the MICE industry in 2013.

With 120,000 square metres of event space, the venue can host conventions of up to 45,000 delegates and support 2,000 exhibition booths. The main exhibitions are held in level B2 and level 1 due to the halls having the largest floor area. Furthermore, the halls can be divided into sub halls to suit the needs of the participants.

By Car or Taxi:
If you are travelling to Marina Bay Sands via the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE), Central Expressway (CTE) or Kallang–Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE), connect at the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) which links directly to Marina Boulevard and Central Boulevard, and from there to Bayfront Avenue and Sheares Avenue.

By Train Services:
Marina Bay Sands is linked directly to CE1/DT16 Bayfront Station on the Circle Line and Downtown Line of Singapore’s Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) train system.

By Bus

By River Ferry:
Daily river ferry services connect to Bayfront South Jetty at Marina Bay Sands. The jetty is situated at the south Promenade, near to The Shoppes (3-minute walk), Sands Expo & Convention Centre (5-minute walk), and Hotel Tower 1 (8-minute walk). Operating Hours are from 7:00am – 10:00pm daily.

By Airport Transfer:
Sands Expo and Convention Centre offers guests a variety of vehicle types to suit any need, both for direct airport transfer and for transport to other destinations around Singapore. The driver will be holding a paging board bearing the requested name at the designated pick up location and time. (Refer to Annex A for the various transportation methods)

Parking information
There are three car park entry points at Marina Bay Sands: South Entrance on Bayfront Link, North Entrance on Bayfront Avenue and Entrance at Hotel Tower 3.

The total amount of parking space for Sands Expo and Convention Centre will add up to 1180 parking lots.

Complimentary parking is offered when you are member of Sands Rewards Lifestyle, or with a minimum spend at The Shoppes, any Celebrity Chef restaurant, Art Science Museum, or Mastercard Theatre. Motorcycle parking is also not available at any of these carparks. (Refer to Annex B for a detailed map of the carparks)

 

 

Participant Needs

1. Free WIFI – Participants can enjoy free WIFI connection at Sands Expo and Convention Centre, up to 40,000 devices can be connected at any point of time.

2. Automated Teller Machine (ATM) – There are 4 ATMs located throughout Sands Expo and Convention Centre, from various banks such as POSB and DBS. This will allow participants to withdraw cash at their convenience.

3. Restrooms – A total of 30 restrooms can be found at Sand Expo and Convention Centre. An average of 6 restrooms can be found on every level. This will allow participants to locate restrooms easily, without the need or hassle to search for one.

4. Restaurants and Dining – There are a wide selection of different cuisines to choose from, ranging from Chinese to Western to Japanese. Some of these restaurants will include Din Tai Fung, BreadStreet Kitchen and Waku Ghin.

5. Shopping and Fashion – The Shoppes is located right beside Sands Expo and Convention Centre, which is known as Singapore’s largest luxury shopping mall. It features over 100 unique brands such as Dior, Gucci and Michael Kors. The variety of brands are bound of satisfy the participant’s shopping needs.

6. Concierge and information – Located right at the entrance, there are 2 concierges that acts as an information counter for all the participants that might either be loss or have questions to ask.

7. Freight Services – Loading and unloading bay are available for exhibitors to load their equipment. The bays are located near Hall C1, and Hall D1.
