From 1980 through 1990 so many different
events and disasters happened that impacted the world, but I feel like the
Berlin Wall has had a big impact on the World. Following the war in 1945, the
United States of America, Britain, France, and Soviet Union divided the city of
Berlin into sectors. Each of the sectors was controlled by a different country.
Which made many people upset because they now separated from their friends and
families. The fall of the Berlin Wall was celebrated around the world.
In this research paper I will
explain multiple situations about the Berlin Wall. I will go in depth on when the building of the
Berlin Wall. Then transition into why it was built and how people felt about it
being built. As well as what the Berlin Wall blockade and crisis was all about.
Also I will talk about how the fall of the Berlin Wall and the impact it had on
the world once it fell.
The Berlin Wall was barrier that
surrounded West Berlin and
preventing people from East Berlin and areas
of East Germany to enter during the period from 1961
to 1989. The Berlin Wall was constructed as a barrier that is about 26
miles long. This wall was built to keep castaways out of the West and to The
wall was built to divide the eastside and the west communist. The Berlin Wall is
still one of the most powerful symbols of the Cold War. Even though so many people weren’t too happy about
